We are sad to announce the passing of Mr. Zarko Bencic, who was one of the earliest members of our club.
Zarko Danko Bencic was born on October 26,1933 in Sibenik, Croatia and passed away with family by his side on February 1, 2020 in North Vancouver, British Columbia.
Playing soccer since the day he could walk, Zarko continued playing the sport well into his elderly years. He shared his passion for soccer on and off the field with his children, grandchildren, and even his great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on February 28, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home followed by reception at the Croatian Cultural Centre (Hall A).
The family would like to invite friends, family, and fellow soccer players to attend the service. His children would love to hear your memories of their beloved father at the reception.
